I’ve always prided myself on my ability to develop and maintain solid, trusting relationships, whether it’s in the work place or in my everyday interactions with those around me. I’ve worked with some terrific people over the years, most of whom I still stay in contact with today.
Here are a few things people have said about me, and I swear I didn’t pay them to do it.
I would like to recommend that you hire Ashley Dickson, who worked for me at the Summit Daily News as a reporter and would be a true asset to any organization. As her supervisor, I have had many opportunities to appreciate Ms. Dickson’s intelligence, aptitude and good-natured approach to her work and her colleagues.
During her time with our newspaper, Ms. Dickson demonstrated terrific writing and research practices, an ability to learn new skills quickly and a sky-is-the-limit potential to excel in any field. Additionally, she is always amicable and enthusiastic, two qualities that make working with her all the more pleasant.

I am writing this letter of recommendation for a Ms. Ashley Dickson a former employee of the Summit Daily News. As you can imagine Law Enforcement Agencies and the media often have a contentious working relationship- I can assure you this was not the case with Ms. Dickson, in fact she restored my faith in the media as a profession.
During our professional relationship we worked closely together on all stories involving the Summit County Sheriff’s Office to include emergencies that occurred within our jurisdiction. I can honestly state that I was always quoted accurately and fairly. One of the many things I appreciated about Ashley was that she conducted her interviews in an open and comfortable fashion and my input and concerns were always well received.
Ms. Dickson worked hard at developing trust and rapport with our organization, and trust is something that people in our profession don’t give freely. She was well liked by members of the Sheriff’s Office and I can state clearly and emphatically that Ashley earned my respect, and I admired the quality of her work.
If you have any questions about Ms. Dickson’s abilities I would encourage you to call me, I highly recommend Ashley for any position that you may have.
